Botanical Name - Rosemarinus Officinalis.

Position - Full sun in dry well drained, alkaline soil.  Can tolerate light shade.

Spacing - 60cm can grow 150cm tall.

Uses -

Used frequently in traditional Mediteranean cuisine.  Should be used sparingly, dried or fresh to season chicken, stuffings, stews and potatoes.  Whole sprigs are removed before food is served because of it's powerful taste.

Rosemary has anti - bacterial, anti - fungal, antiviral, anti - oxident as well as anti - inflammatory properties.

Care -

Do not overwater.  Rosemary plants will last for many years.  They are an attractive shrub with small blue flowers so can be planted anywhere in the garden.
