The Aster producees large clusters of delicate daisy like flowers in white, lavender, purple, pinks and reds.

Position - Full sun can can tolerate light shade.  Plant in a moist well drained soil. 

Spacing - 25 - 30cm

Pests and Disease -

Aphids, spider mites, leafhoppers, thrips, whitefly and scale can all be problems.  Treat with a general Insecticide to controll.

Powdery Mildew can affect Asters - treat preventatively with a general fungicide.

Care -

Asters are frost tender.  Don't plant asters in the same plave each year unless you change the soil to prevent disease.  Pinch off dead flowers and even cut plant back to promote bushiness and more blooms.  Feed monthly with 2.3.2.
